4-5-year-old teacher
I am Ms. Karolynn, owner and 4-5-year-old teacher at It’s A Good Day Preschool!  I enjoy basketball, singing, piano, flute, camping, watching movies, pedicures, swimming, and, most importantly, being with my wonderful husband, darling 5 kids (ages 31, 29, 18, 19, and 15), son-in-law, my adorable grandson (age 6) and my beautiful granddaughter (age 3).  My love for children started as a child. Growing up, my Mother had a daycare in her home, and I couldn’t wait to come home from school to play with the little kids.  This is still true today.  I have always believed that children are the most important people in the world, and they should never be ignored.  That is why you will always see me at the kids' table at parties.  Raising a child with special needs has given me a lot of experience in how to love and be patient.  I take several classes a year on how to teach children and reinforce positive behavior.
I have spent many years in the classroom with my children and in therapy sessions, from teaching them how to hold a pencil to encouraging children to eat new things. I just love kids and the cute things they say.  I look forward to loving your children and watching them grow and learn.  Ms. Karolynn is going on her 10th year teaching in the preschool setting, is current on CPR/First Aid, food handlers permit, Tooele County preschool permit, Tooele county business license, and holds a state of Utah child care license and passed a current background check. Ms. Karolynn currently has a Child  Development Associate (CDA)  The CDA  is the most widely recognized credential in early childhood education.  She is also certified in the following: Indoor and outdoor safety, dual language learning, promoting empathy and other prosocial behaviors, gender bias, and stereotypes, bullying in the preschool environment, creating a multicultural environment, inclusion, and children with special needs, parent communication, nutrition and fitness, learning centers, curriculum, developmental domains, recognizing infectious disease, signs of child abuse and the impact it has on children, how children learn, positive guidance, oral health and assessing young children.  She is currently enrolled in the Childcare Education Institute, and attends the yearly Utah Early Childhood Conference, furthering her early child development education.
